Paruara Abdul Matin Khasru College in Burichang, Comilla district has set an exemplary example in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education with the aim of building a Digital Bangladesh. The college has a state-of-the-art computer lab and adequate training facilities for students as well as teachers, which is taking the institution forward on the path of a modern education system.

1. State-of-the-art computer lab facilities

The college’s computer lab is well-equipped with modern equipment and advanced infrastructure.

 

Adequate number of computers: The lab has the required number of desktop computers and ancillary equipment for students, which allows each student to practice individually.

High-speed Internet: To ensure the quality of training, the entire lab is connected by high-speed internet connection, which allows students to conduct online research and use digital content.

Multimedia equipment: There are multimedia equipment like projectors and sound systems, which make the teaching of teachers more interesting and effective.

 

2. Regular In-House Training

The college emphasizes not only on enhancing the skills of the students but also of the teachers. Recently, several ‘In-House Training’ sessions have been organized for the teachers and staff of the college.

Enhancing the professional skills of teachers: These trainings especially emphasize on ‘Professional Teachers Training (PTT)’ or enhancing IT skills. As a result, teachers are able to make the classroom more dynamic by using new digital teaching methods, online tools and software.

Expert Trainers: Experienced and expert trainers are invited for the training, so that the teachers can be aware of the use of latest technology.

Staff Participation: Apart from the teachers, the administrative staff also participate in the training, which improves the overall digital activities of the college.
